Super Lawyers names Greg L. Johnson “Rising Star”

BOSTON, MA, November 18, 2013: The Yannetti Criminal Defense Law Firm is pleased to announce that Attorney Greg L. Johnson has been named a 2013 Rising Star by Super Lawyers, a prestigious honor given to those young lawyers who have distinguished themselves in their chosen practice area. Rising Stars are singled out because of their unique successes and must be nominated by their peers.
The Super Lawyer’s Rising Star award is a coveted honor in the legal community. To be eligible for inclusion on the Rising Stars list, a candidate must be either 40 years old or younger or in practice for 10 years or less. The candidates are then reviewed through a multiphase selection process. The following indicators of professional achievement are considered: verdicts and settlements; experience; honors and awards, community service, position within the firm and more. And while up to 5 percent of the lawyers in a state are named to Super Lawyers, no more than 2.5 percent are named to Rising Stars.
Reached at the Boston office of the Yannetti Criminal Defense Law Firm this morning, Attorney Johnson was clearly pleased and flattered by this award. “Being named a ‘Rising Star’ by Super Lawyers is a great honor. It is especially gratifying and meaningful to me that I was nominated by my fellow criminal defense lawyers,” he remarked.
Attorney Johnson joined the Yannetti Criminal Defense Law firm in 2011, after having spent five years as an assistant district attorney in Essex County. Together with firm’s lead attorney, David R. Yannetti, and David’s sister, Tanis Yannetti, they comprise a distinguished a highly regarded criminal defense team. In fact, Attorney David Yannetti has been selected to the New England Super Lawyers list every year from 2007 through 2013.
