Via Public Transportation
- From the Orange or Red lines:
- Ride the subway to the Downtown Crossing station.
- When stepping off the train, follow signs for the “Chauncy Street” exit to the subway station.
- When you emerge onto Chauncy Street, walk to the left, then cross over Summer Street and walk to the right.
- Take a left onto Otis Street and Ten Winthrop Square is the first building after the rear entrance to St. Anthony’s Church, about 100 yards down on the left.
- From the Blue line:
- Ride the subway to State Street station. If you prefer, you may switch to the orange line at that point and follow the directions in the preceding paragraph. If the weather is nice, however, my office is only a 5-minute walk from the State Street station.
- If you prefer to walk, exit the State Street station by walking onto Devonshire Street. Follow Devonshire Street past Water Street, Milk Street and Franklin Street. After crossing over Franklin Street, the road will fork almost immediately. Bear to the right at the fork. Ten Winthrop Square is the first building on the right after the fork in the road.
- From the Green line:
- Ride the subway to Park Street station.
- When you exit the train station, you will be on Tremont Street.
- Cross over Tremont Street to Winter Street (there will be a Finagle-a-Bagel on the corner).
- Walk down Winter Street (which turns into Summer Street) until you get to Otis Street.
- Take a left on Otis Street and Ten Winthrop Square is the first building after St. Anthony’s Church, about 100 yards down on the left.
Driving Directions
- From the North:
- Take I-93 South to Exit 20A (“South Station”). When you emerge from the tunnel ramp, take your first right at the set of lights onto Summer Street. Go through 2 sets of lights then take a quick right onto Devonshire Street. About 100 yards down on the left is a brick courtyard with trees and a statue of Burns. That brick courtyard is Winthrop Square. My law office is at Ten Winthrop Square, which is the building across the brick courtyard as you look to your left while you’re still on Devonshire Street. There is a parking garage on your right, on Devonshire Street. Parking is generally readily available in that garage after 3 p.m.
- From the South:
- Take I-93 North to Exit 20 (“S. Station”). Follow signs for South Station until you come to your first set of lights. Go through that set of lights and the next set of lights will be at the intersection of Lincoln Street and Kneeland Street. Stay straight, continuing on Lincoln Street. Go through two more sets of lights and continue onto Devonshire Street (keeping “Sebastian’s” to your right and “GNC” to you left).
- From the West:
- Take I-90 East until you see signs for South Station. Follow the ramp to South Station, being careful not to opt for I-93 North or South. At South Station, take a left at the set of lights onto Summer Street. Go through 3 more sets of lights then take a quick right onto Devonshire Street.
- From Logan Airport:
- Take I-90 West (the Ted Williams Tunnel) to Exit 25 (South Boston). After taking the exit, bear right as the road forks and take your first right, following a sign to D Street. Take your next right at the set of lights, which is D Street. Go through a set of lights, then take your next right onto Summer Street. Go through 6 sets of lights and then take a quick right onto Devonshire Street.
